Design by Distraction has been chosen to design and build a new website for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance (LNAACT).

LNAACT has provided a dedicated medical air service for Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire since 1994 and in 2008 completed its 10,000th mission. Unaffected by road congestion, country roads or other obstacles, the helicopter can reach any destination in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire in just 19 minutes.

A bespoke CMS (Content Management System) is being developed for the new website which will give a greater amount of control over text, photos and the way the website looks and works to the team at LNAACT.

LNAACT is a registered charity and relies completely on public donations to cover the costs of running this vital service, approximately £1.5m each year, receiving no assistance from local or central government. The new website will encourage donations and highlight the important work that the charity performs.

As well as online donations and the existing Lottery, the team are looking into new ways of giving money including donating via text messaging.

Design by Distraction are delighted to be working with LNAACT to produce a top notch website to promote the work of this vital service.

Update: The website is now live at keepusflying.co.uk and donations are being accepted by text message (text FLY to 80039 - texts are charged at £1.50 plus standard network rate).
